n00B here.
I started running a month or so ago as an extension of the eat less, move more diet I started last January. I'm 6' tall and had hit 212 pounds as of January first. I'd been gaining an average of 3 pounds per year since I was married about ten years ago and I finally decided it had to stop.
So, I started just eating less and exercising a little five days per week. (Actually used the Wii Fitness Coach thing as motivation.) (Not the Wii Fit.)
By June I had hit my goal of 180#. and started looking for a little more challenging regimen. I started jogging and using my bowflex and am now down to about 14.5% body fat or so.
I'm currently looking for some advice with a knee issue that I need to ensure does not become problematic and I'm planning to start that in the beginners forum.
