My name is Gerry Geraghty and I live in Durango, Colorado. While living in Danville,CA- Jackson,WY and now Durango,CO, I have spent 28 years chasing after younger runners. During those 28 years, I have coached hundreds of runners. Running with them in practice and in races has been a constant challenge. Presently I conduct summer track camps for grade school kids. At the age of 51, I find myself in a relay against a 4th grader or racing a 5K against a 7th grader or a high school runner. As I get older, my speed has declined so I need to rely and experinence and mental focus. This last Saturday I finished 3rd in a local 4 and 1/2 mile trail race. In first was a high school sophmore and I got within 12 seconds of a female college runner for the University of New Mexico.
