Hi.

I m in the process of choosing the best pair of shoes for me. Nowadays, there are so many concepts to consider to choose the best one. Embarrassingly, I do not know my feet very well.

I just took some snapshots of my feet from the back as well as the imprints for you to judge.

I have plantar fasciitis on my left foot. I initially had a foot type assessment and was told to have normal arches. My imprints however dont seem to jive. I personally feel that my left side has caved in.

I took the back shots for those who know whether my angles are normal or not (dunno what that means exactly).

I look forward to your helpful insights.http://www.athleticrunner.com/imagehosting/30454816160315070.jpg (http://www.athleticrunner.com/vbimghost.php?do=displayimg&imgid=4)

Hey Sammy, I have the same problem as you. Back in 2003 I noticed that my left arch had "caved in" or "dropped". I started having knee problems and then the plantar fasciitis came. I went in and got orthotics for my feet and I have noticed a nice difference. Sometimes you know your body better than some guy/lady who may claim to be a professional. You walk on your feet every day and can feel them and if you are noticing something wrong, maybe ask for a second opinion. Also, I recommend A.R.T. which is Active Rlease Technique. Its a nice way of breaking up the inflimmation and adheasions in your foot from the plantar fasciitis. Search in Google for an A.R.T. specialist and see if you can get that taken care of. Best of luck.
