Is there anyone in the forum who boycotts Nike products because of the reports of child labor in other countries in their factories? I can't say that I boycott but they are definitely not my first choice of comfy running shoes. And it just ticks me off that this international company worh billions would stoop to paying people % cents per day and then sells shoes for more than $100 consistently.

I recently saw a program on CNBC where they discussed this issue. Although considered a problem Nike has allegedly been working on improving the conditions for the factory workers. As far as there pay goes, I can't really say because I didn't watch the entire program but they did interview one of the workers who said she was satisfied with her current job and salary. Look out for it as they will probably be airing again sometime soon.

I will look for that too because that has been a bconcern of mine after hearing bad press on this several years ago. I guess anyone in a third world country will say that any wages are better than none at all, but what better life do they have to compare this with?
