clothing for the cold

Has anyone tried the new Nike line of clothing that is supposed to help the skin breathe better? Is this called wicking? Does it work and is it worth spending the money on the running clothes?

Personally I dont like the nike line. Nike is just a big company that puts out shit and expects consumers to buy because of the name. Although also a big company the underarmour lines i beleive work and feel much better. Wicking is the action of the clothing removing the excess moisture away from your body to better cool you, but also to keep from getting overly cold in cold wheather. You dont really need the under amour, I like wearing the compression shorts when I run, but that may just be because I am a boy.
