I just started running about 2 weeks ago, it's hard to get back into..is it bad that i cant run a mile yet? i have been running about about a half a mile then walking for a little bit then running again...and i just do that for a half an hour and then another form of cardio..do you think that will work to gain stamina?

hey, i am the exact same. done marathon in april,planning on another but embarrassed to say a mile is a mean feat for me at the moment. doing cross training cardio for a month then starting back at the running. hopefully the stamina will be there but to be fair nothing improves your running than the pain and sweat youll get from those first 2 or 3 weeks of getting back. also, the memories of how hard it is now will surely be a source of confidence a few months down the line when you see how far youve come!

good for you for getting back in the game- it is tough to get going again but once you have you will be impressed with your results!
