(Or West.. depending on where YOU are..!)
Hi there, runners. Just dropping a line a trying to get familiarized with running again. I'll give you a little but of my back-story, for the morbidly curious. ;)
When I was 16 I worked for a NASCAR themed go-kart park called, ironicaly, NASCAR Speed Park. As a ride attendent, one of my duties amongst track clean-up, safety inspection and crowd control, I had to go and correct driver errors. I.E., mainly, when people got spun into a wall, go karts don't have a reverse. You have to run out to the wreck, push them out, send them on their way, and then you're off to the next moron that thinks they are a professional.
Needless to say, I ran. A lot. 12 hour shifts 5 or 6 days a week. I was very fit. Very in shape. My father recently told me he was actually worried for my health in those days, as I was -that- skinny.
It's been a long time.. and working at Dunkin Donuts has me 55 pounds over what I would like to be. I know running. I enjoy running. So I see no better excersize to get me back down. That, and Dance Dance Revolution.
So here I am, Athletic Runners, hoping to gain my runner's physique back.
