Hi...
I've been running for about 6 weeks, and the last couple weeks I've been running outside (prior to this was on a treadmill). Since running outside, I've been running a lot longer (due to my wife running with me). After running, I've been smelling the odor of ammonia. I searched online for "ammonia sweat" and found out this happens when the body runs out of carbs to burn for energy, so it turns to protein.
If this is true, do I need to up my intake of carbs? How long before running should I eat them? I work evenings, so I typically run around noon. Any advice on this would be great! Thanks a bunch.
